Course Objectives
- Demonstrate compliance with health and safety requirements and approved working practices
- Understand the quality control systems and procedures to be employed during the dismantling, preparation and securing of bolted connection systems
- Prepare work areas, equipment and materials for the dismantling, preparation and securing of bolted connection systems
- Dismantle subsea hydraulically tensioned bolted connection systems
- Remove and replace components relating to subsea hydraulically tensioned bolted connection systems
- Assemble, secure and tighten, hydraulically tensioned subsea bolted connections
- Verify the integrity of the assembled joint
- Reinstate the work area, equipment and materials
Who Should Attend?
This course covers specifications, methods, processes, techniques and procedures for using Powered Torque Guns. It will explain how to remove components from bolted connection systems and how to replace, reassemble securely and verify the integrity of assembled joints. The course is assessed through written tests, practical observations and exercises. Successful completion results in an ECITB MJI23 certificate.
